Near Death Experiences

The other day I pierced my foot. I don't recommend doing this. It was an accident as a result of stepping on a small tack-like nail. Puncture wound to my heal. It hurt. I cleaned it with proxide and alchole. Bandaids don't stick very well, so a couple of days later I had to pick the dirt out of the small hole in my foot. I got my tentnus shot right before I came, and I'm still alive and it was over 2 weeks ago now, so I think it's ok.

In other news, Alissa and I almost died today. We were riding in a ricksaw crossing the JK1st intersection. We were stopped in the middle of the road waiting for a break in the traffic. A tempo (like a golf cart) came around us slowly, but too close, so they ran over the front tire of our bike. Our driver had to walk the bike accross the road. He was really old and slow anyway, and with the tire all mangled, he was going even slower. It was one of those situations where we wondered if we should just get out of the rickshaw (in the middle of the road) and walk. Then we looked to the left a very large Tata (bus or truck) was comming straight towards us and we weren't really moving. Thats when we realized we probably should have gotten out and walked across the road. Somehow our rickshaw rolled forward just enough for the bus to swerve around behind us, missing us by inches. So we're still alive. That makes me happy...
