Epic. Disappointment.

Today was one of Duane & my anniversaries. We have a lot of anniversaries, so it's hard to keep track of them all: but the most important ones are the 24th, 28th, 3rd/4th, 15th, and soon to be added to the list: May 21st :). Less important dates include the 1st, 5th, 17th, 22nd, and 26th...but we usually don't mention those...

Today is the 28th, which sounds like a good day, so I had to think for a minute and remember why. It's the anniversary of the day Duane said he liked me, and exactly 1 month later was the day I got my confirmation that Duane was "The One." Today is also the day we went to our beautiful wedding location to figure out seating and such. All those reasons made it the perfect day to give Duane his ring.

No, we did not elope. Duane just wanted to wear his ring now.

When we first talked about getting engaged, we were still planing on going to India this spring. I was going to give him his ring before going to India, because in the small percentage of India where people actually wear wedding rings, the bride and groom both exchange rings at the time of their engagement. This is also becoming more common in America. One of our friends proposed to his fiancée with 2 rings, hers, and his. But since we decided to get married before going to India, I didn't get Duane's ring till a few weeks ago. Then we just needed the perfect moment/location for me to give him his ring. All that happened today :)

However, the ring is too big, so we have to take care of that...good thing we figured this out 3 weeks before the wedding...and I guess he doesn't get to wear his ring yet...after all...
