Today begins another road trip. The "meet the parents" road trip.
It all began on the last road trip, walking barefoot on the beach, watching the sunset, and talking (for like 3 hours). It was the most romantic date ever, except that I didn't know if he actually liked me, but I knew I liked him, and it completely freaked me out.
Now, 1 month later, we've moved on to meeting the parents. I have no idea how that fits in the category of "taking it slow." All I know is his parents are camping, he wants to join them, and his mom said, "are you going to drive all that way by yourself? You should bring a friend." I consider myself invited!
Our leaders here said, "You want to take a 4 day weekend to go camping with the family? I'm such a push-over, of course you can."
I am at the most pro-relationship Y campus in the world. I think it is because there are lots of single people and the few couples are getting lonely and want more couples to hang out with.
Today beings our 12-hour drive (and what just turned into a 5 day weekend). We'll spend the night at a friend's house in Salt Lake, and drive a little more on Friday. Then I get to meet the parents! After spending the weekend with them, we'll drive all day Monday to make it back in time for class at 7pm...or something like that...I am soooooo excited to leave the cold, snowy weather and go south to flip-flops, sleeping outside in my hammock, hiking, biking, and camp fires...not to mention a vacation! ...oh yeah, and spending time with a certain person and meeting his parents :)
