driving in circles

This weekend involved multiple trips to Boise. The first was Friday's field trip. We were going to go to a Hindi Temple, but we were running late and there was an accident which diverted our four vehicles down a side street. Since the lead van only had step-by-step instructions from mapquest, suddenly we needed a map, or to let the car with the iphone lead, which is what we did. It's quite fun to run map-quest and music on the same device, until you get interrupted by a text-message...

We skipped the temple, got lunch, and then circled around to the Mosque, where we watched people pray and talked to people afterwards.

After the mosque my car went thrift store shopping, and said, "this is the place we got lost earlier today." After another loop around the same area of the city, we went back to Cascade.

Saturday morning we planed to go hiking, but I didn't even wake up till after 10, and it was raining. Some of the guys had gone back to Boise for Dave's goodbye party/guy's night. They locked themselves out of their car, and called for someone in Cascade to rescue them. Out of desperation, they even invited me to attend their party...no thanks. I did return to Boise, deliver the spare key, and then join some girls at a corn maze.
We had a grand old time getting soaked in the rain and throwing corn kernels at people...who probably just thought it was more raindrops...then we watched a movie had a sleep-over. In the morning at church we were re-united with the guys and headed back to town...
