D-school started this weekend. A couple of the students families' came to drop them off and chill with us for the weekend. The twins are pretty happy to have so many new friends. Saturday morning all Wesley wanted to do was "go see the gurls." So Sam helped him out by taking him to visit Sam's sisters in their cabin. Then Isaac and I sat in the dining hall and colored.
Sunday morning as we were sitting down for breakfast, Wes asked, "where's Andy?"
Me - "He's with the Backpackers D-school on their way to Mongolia."
Wes - "nooo. She is not"
Me - "She? Who are you talking about? Oh, you mean Annie?"
Wes - "yeah. Sam's girl friend"
Me - "No, Annie is Sam's sister."
Wes - "like you is my sister?"
Me - "I'm not your sister..."
Isaac - "you is my girl friend"
Me - "oh? But you didn't even ask me out"
So while my "brother" Wesley rejects me to spend time with his "girl-frinds" (who are 16+ years old then him), my 3 year old "boyfriend" Isaac still spends time with me. Like on Sunday, when he was over-whelmed by all the people crowded in the office and decided to leave. I followed him outside and we sat on the side-walk. He 'quished ants and then handed them to me. Oh, the love. Maybe someday we'll get them to pick flowers for us girls, or something slightly more romantic than dead bugs...
