Boise Airport Trip

This past week us in-town staff went up to the camp to eat lunch with the groups who were there for training before their short-term trips, and recruit them for the D-School. By Thursday they all looked like zombies, but were excited to be leaving the next day. It was then that we were told they needed someone to take the India team to the airport that night for an early morning flight. All the approved drivers would be spending the next day driving taking groups to Salt Lake, and various Native American places, so they didn't want to stay up all night too. I don't blame them.

Immediately upon arrival home, I went upstairs to take a nap (I'm really bad at this). I barely laid down when Wes woke up, way too early from his nap, so I spent the next 2 hours having my shoulder snuggled by a 2 year old. This works well for me, because if I move, he will wake up, but I don't move, I fall asleep.I got up at 5pm, but don't remember much about dinner, as I wasn't fully awake again till 7pm (that's why I don't take naps).

In the evening we went to a friends house to play Volley Ball with the Young Adult Word Study (YABS) group. We played a good, long game. I have bruises on my hand/arm to prove that I did hit the ball (incorrectly). I also got hit in the face, which kind of hurt, but didn't bruise. After sugar-filled, yummy som'mores, it was bed time.

It's kind of hard to fall asleep when I know my alarm is going to go off 1 and 1/2 hours later, but it was worth a try. I was up at 11:45 pm, and went over to the office to meet Matt and head up to the camp to get the India team.

I'm kind of jealous that they all got to go to India, and all I got to do was spend 7 hours in the van going up to the camp, down to Boise, back up to the camp (to return the van) and then back to town. I shouldn't complain, I got a free breakfast, went to Walmart, and I didn't have to pay for gas or drive (me + tired + driving = not safe). However, when I'm tired I am really good at talking and keeping the driver awake :). I helped us not hit the deer or the elk, and I stayed awake all but the last 15 minutes of the drive.
I have never been so happy to arrive home. I fell into bed at 9am and slept till noon. The twins had a play-date, so the house was quiet and I didn't wake up till they came home for lunch.

I don't remember much about yesterday either, except that when I went to the post office that afternoon, Holly said, "someone forgot to bring her nephews" and it took me a little bit to realize she meant my little house buddies. But I did bring stickers for Holly to give to the twins, seeing as how "my nephews" have depleted her supply of "tweets" since we do go to the post office every day...
