When it is really hot outside, I hate when the A/C inside is supper cold, because then your body has to keep adjusting every time you go in or out.
I think I have a similar problem with this Guest House. I love the place where I am staying. Every time I enter the gate, I breathe a sigh of relief to be back safely inside. It's so nice and peaceful that at times I forget I am in India. Then my roommates invite me to go out to dinner with them...oh, no, please don't make me go back out to the ciaos. Yes, I am afraid that the place I am staying is a little too nice...although I do venture out for the 2 block walk to the internet cafe...
Another nice thing about life is that in the morning, after breakfast, I take the bus to the ministry, and at the end of the day, I go back to the guest house, eat dinner with my new friends and chat about our day...it's so nice to separate work from home...that doesn't happen very much in my life, especially staffing a school, everything you do is part of work, but it is fun work.
I have been quite blessed. A couple of the ladies (staying at the guest house) love to talk to the Father for people, and they offered to do so for me, or anyone else. So I met with one of them yesterday and it was very encouraging :).
Today I went to an English church with them. It was so nice to not be asked to speak or do Sunday school...nope I'm just a normal visitor. Of course after church, as we talked to people, they offered to talk to the Father for someone, so I joined them, because I'm here :)
I have discovered that not everyone at the guest house is volunteering at Mother Theresa Houses. Nope, it turns out that there is a lot of stuff going on in this city. I've been invited to go to a few, and I was thinking I could just stay here longer and visit them all. Then I realized, what's the point? There already lots of m-workers here, so I should stick with my plan to go to Mumbai.
Tomorrow (Monday) at "work" we are going to Howarah (train station) to see the street kids and invite any new kids to come to Life Connection. While we're there, I'll get my ticket to Mumbai.
