Birthdays and a Busy Week

Then we went to McDonalds, for Randy’s birthday dinner. There happened to be an Elephant walking past, which apparently is very unusual in this city. One of my not-so-serious goals for this outreach was to ride an elephant, so Andrea, Tiff and I ran out of McDonalds and stopped the Elephant man.I RODE AN ELEPHANT!!! My life is complete…

In the evening, some of us went to visit the church we were invited to. It was amazing! It was even a bi-lingual. Since they didn’t know us, they didn’t let us do anything, so we just enjoyed the service, and spent time talking to the leaders. They invited us to come Sunday morning, but we’re already going to 2 Churches, so we’ll go there Sunday evening instead.

One of the leaders works in Tourism, so he told us of a great restaurant to go to. So we went there today (Thurs) for Matt’s birthday, and he called them and made sure we got a discount. The food was so good!!

The leader also told us of a great bookstore where I could buy the book: “teach yourself Hindi” for $2.50. So, at 22 years old, I’m still home-schooling myself…and it does not look easy…

Earlier today, since it’s Free Day, we went to the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.Actually, Tiff and I skipped the Taj, because we’ve been there before, and we’d rather sleep in, but we joined the team to see the fort. It was pretty neat!

It has been a good, busy, fun couple days…It’s amazing how much activities you can fit into a day…now I am tired...good night...
