Every Friday is our Free day. Except this week it was Saturday, because we were busy on Friday. Last week I didn't have time to do the internet. Sorry for the delay in communication.
Let me tell you about today. Today was the 1st time that I went really far away with just 1 person, and not a whole group, but we've been here long enough that we know our way around, and it's fun. So Marina and I went on a date. We got a rickshaw to take us to KTRarah or something like that. It's the intersection where the ATM is located. From there we got on a tempo (like a golf cart) and went to a market near Naveen. We wandered the main street and explored some side alleys that had beautiful Sari shops. I bought my sari last week, it's dark purple and silver, and cost only 350Rs (that's $8) and usually they cost about 1000Rs, so I got a cheap one, but it's beautiful and I like it a lot.
Anyway, today after exploring, we got a rickshaw and went to Naveen Market to get the necessities of life - toitlet paper and peanut butter (that's right, they now sell peanut butter in K-town India, and they have cheese too). Then Marina and I stopped at CoffeeDay and had an iced coffee.
From there we got another rickshaw to take us to Globus to McDonalds (another new thing in this city). The driver didn't know how to get there, but we took a guess at which way to go and made it safely to McDonalds for our lunch of Chicken sandwhichs. So good.
Then we got a tempo and came home, picked up Alissa (who was a home sleeping because she has an ear infection and is drugged on antibotices) and of course stoped at Iway to use the internet. It's been a good day.
We didn't feel like putting all 3 of us in one rickshaw, so Marina & Alissa rode to together, and I took my own, and our drivers raced. And we went fast, because some person of political influnce drove down our road and complained that the speed bumps (a row of bricks across the road) hurt her back. So all 3-4 speed bumps are gone now! Happy Day.
