The Week of "Fred"

The leaders have been talking to the Father about this coming week, because they didn’t know what we are supposed to be doing. They named the week Fred, because that sounds a lot less scary. – If you’ve seen "over the hedge", when the animals woke up from hibernation they saw the hedge and were afraid of it. Then they decided to name the hedge “Steve” and one of the animals said, “I’m a lot less afraid of Steve…” So the leaders named this un-known week “Fred”

This evening we all talked to the Father about the week of Fred. We all wrote down on pieces of paper whatever we felt the Father was saying. Then we got together and shared what He showed us. A lot of people saw pictures of a desert, some saw a river, I saw grass, some people saw a Church, someone saw a red van stuck in the snow and felt we are supposed to help them, and someone saw the name of a town on the TX/Mexico boarder.

Then the leaders shared what they had gotten during their many, many times of talking to the Father about the week of Fred. One saw a dark skinned girl, someone else saw a house that looked like one they had helped build when they were in Mexico, and a whole bunch of people (leaders and some students) felt “Mexico.”

We still don’t know what all will happen on the week of Fred, but we’re going to Mexico. It’ll take a couple of days to get there, and we don’t know what we will be doing, or where exactly we are going or staying, but we’re going to Mexico!!!
