We felt we should leave the camp on Sunday, but we had to clean it up and drain the water pipes so they don’t freeze during the winter. Then we drove to the mall in Boise.
It was colorful and over-stimulating with so many people. It was fun to be in civilization. Then we went to REI to buy quick drying towels. There is a fun story with that:
Josiah was on his cell phone and he got out of the van and walked right into the store. I followed and the workers told me I could not come in because the store was closed. I said, “But Josiah went in?” so they let me in to find him, but they didn't let anyone else in. Anyway, I followed Josiah all over the store trying to tell him that the store was closed, but he was distracted talking on his cell phone. I got a towel and then he wandered around the store commenting on how much he loves this store and how bad it is for him to be in there, and I said again that the store was closed. This time he heard me, so then we left (after I paid for my towel). And that is the end of the story...maybe it was not as exciting as I thought...
After driving another 2-3 hrs we arrived in Twin Falls, ID. We spent the night at some random church. We stayed in the youth room. It was a gym and it had couches, so most the girls got to sleep on the couches. The boys took those gym mat things off of the wall and slept on those. The bathrooms had showers we were are all nice and clean. It was wonderful.
