Half of our group went to the Day Care. Renante (the only Spanish-speaker) taught Amanda's teaching on "The Value of the Child."
We also played games with the kids. I would say the favorite was "the dancing game." We all danced to fun childrens songs, and like "hot potato" we would randomly stop the music. When that happened, everyone had to freeze in whatever position they were in. It was quite impressive how quiet the kids were for those 2 seconds before the music started again.
Our afternoon with them was especially interesting in light of the morning's class. We were suddenly aware of how obvious it was that some of the kids suffer from attachment disorders as evident by their desperation for attention and affection: eagerly sitting on our laps, although they had just met us, misbehaving during Renante's teaching, and desperately wanting to answer every question she asked.
