Lots of Kiddos at Casa Viva

Once a month Casa Viva has a meeting with all of the foster families. So this week, we went to Casa Viva in the evening, ate dinner with the families, and then did a program for the kids.

There were about 20 kids ages 3+, and 5 babies. Due to our incredible ability to not speak Spanish, Amanda and I “had” to care for the babies. :) It’s quite possibly the only advantage to not speaking Spanish.

Unfortunately, the babies were all tired and kind of fussy, so it took both of us and 3 Casa Viva staff to keep them happy. Communication was interesting as the Casa Viva staff didn’t speak English.

The babies were super cute...sorry I'm not allowed to post pictures of them :( One little girl had the biggest smile and blew kisses and was soooo adorable.

It is so sad to think that their parents are completely missing out on this. But I am really glad all these kids have great foster families, and who knows, maybe they’ll be adopted?
