That's the fancy name for my pet Cody, who currently lives in my small intestines, but will be evicted starting tomorrow...
Info from Wikipedia: Symptoms: diarrhea, stomach pains or cramps and a low fever. Other symptoms include nausea, vomiting (not me), malabsorptionand dehydration. Anorexia can occur (I do still eat, just not a much as I used to...which really wasn't that much), as can weight loss (I don't have that problem, so I'm fine). Symptoms appear 2-10 days after infection, an average of 7 days, and last for up to two weeks, or in some cases, up to one month (or 2, which is why I probably had something else too).
I am already feeling better after having taken the de-wormer and the amoeba-killer. So the doctor said maybe I had e-coli or something? Doesn't matter, because all that is dead now. And it's time for drug #3...to kill Cody...
The prescription to kill it, has a $60 co-pay. I'm glad I have health insurance, and that I didn't cancel it when I went to India. This drug had better work...
Along with the usual side-effects, which may or may not be worse than the illness: headache, nausea, stomach pain and diarrhea, this drug has the side-effect of drowsiness!!! That's a good one...I look forward to taking it this evening...to bad I have to take it in the morning too.
In case you are wondering, when in India don't drink the water, be sure to clean veggies, cook meat thoroughly, and don't eat poop, which is found in all dirt...which is kind of unavoidable due to how dusty/dirty it is there and the fact that we eat with our fingers...oh crap...latterly...
