Treasures...

don't really know what to say right now...I think I'm in denial...

I usually put my MP3 player in my bag, but here there are no 2 year olds to re-locate my possessions, and I'm not staying at a ghetto-guest house room which had obviously been broken into before...so Sunday morning, I left my MP3 player on my bed...Sunday evening, I couldn't find it...

I didn't have anything to do Monday morning, so I decided to have a long quiet-time. First I had to find my MP3 player, because I like music with my quiet time. I unpacked and re-packed my neatly organized backpack and book-bag, and searched the room. My host even asked the guard if he saw anyone other than us go in or out of the house...nope...so it just grew legs and walked away?

I ask myself, is the Father trying to teach me something though this situation? In India there are a lot of evil spirits and they like to cause problems such as confusion, miscommunication, blame, mistrust, suspicion, dis-unity, pride and greed.

When we were in A-bad some things disappeared, so us girls blamed the boys for playing a joke, then we blamed the twins, and in the end we blamed the neighborhood kids, seeing as how there had been other robberies in apartment building...although "loosing" my contact solution did lead to an exciting adventure of searching for a place to buy more...

Currently, I don't have anyone to blame...maybe put the MP3 player someplace odd. So mostly I just feel confusion and maybe some greed too.

My co-workers in Idaho most people go through a couple ipods or MP3 players a year. This is usually because they give them away. Just a couple weeks ago one of the students felt led to give his ipod to man. As neat as those stories are, I had planned to keep my MP3 player. It was my birthday present and I like it.

Now it is missing. So I ask myself, if I found it, would I be willing to give it away? No, not really, but I would be happy to have it back. Wouldn't giving it away be better than having it stolen? Nope, either way, there is some Indian out there enjoying some good music...there's even some in Hindi on there...

Fortunately for me, before the group left, I took one of the group's MP4 players (which has a message on it in Hindi), so I plugged it into my host's computer and added some Hindi music to it, and some Hillsongs...so I will survive...until the next group from Idaho comes and I give it back to them...

Maybe I have a bit of a bad attitude right now...oh that's right, I didn't really have a quiet time this morning...I should really go do that...
