I feel traveling alone in India gives people this impression that I actually know what I am doing, or at least speak or understand some Hindi...I'm still questioning my own santity in traveling alone, none-the-less I made it safely to Kolkota...
I am feeling more OK about not having an MP3 player. If my life belongs to the Father, I suppose my possessions do as well, so I should hold it all with an open hand. On the down-side I don't sleep well in new places, and listening to music made it easier, which helps since I move to a new place every week or two. So I haven't slept very well lately between the absence of my music and the presence of itchy bed-bug bites...now for some odd reason I have hives on my legs, which is also quiet itchy and disturbs my sleep...
Other than my anxiety over being alone, I'm enjoying seeing what it is like to live in India without a group. I am glad that I went to Vnsi first. It was nice not being with a group and therefore having the freedom to choose what I wanted to do, or just be lazy. I did rest quiet a bit, which was refreshing. I also enjoyed the English church, attending the wedding, and visiting Hindi school.
Now I am off to buy food for dinner...as I attempt to live as cheaply as possible :)
